Today we are traveling through the C&D Canal towards Chesapeake Bay. It's sunny and relatively warm, which is a welcomed change. A couple days ago we sailed a bit up the Delaware Bay, which was quite rough and very exciting. We were fighting the tide the whole way, so we didn't get too far. We ended up spending the past two nights anchored up in the Cohansey River, which is a lovely place to wait for lighter winds. We will be on the Chesapeake Bay in a few hours, and we plan to spend a couple weeks there visiting friends in Annapolis and Washington D.C.
It looks like my camera and computer are currently getting along and allowing me to upload pictures! Here's a couple from the past week.

A bird that hitched a ride on our boat while we were sailing off the Jersey Shore.
They are called "Flickers" and are part of the woodpecker family. |
